Hello,

i need digest auth like the follow:

dir/
dir/site1/.passwd # with sub-directories
dir/site2/.passwd # with sub-directories

When i configure this with .hiawatha, i must copy an .hiawatha to all sub-directories? When i configure this with the "directory"-directive in hiawatha.conf, the i can not set the LoginMessage-Label? So, i can not protect my directorys recursive with digest-auth? Please help.

Hiawatha version: 8.4
Operating System: debian 6

When specifying the password file, make sure you use the full path to it. If you use only the filename, Hiawatha will look in the current directory for it.
