Is there any banlog file with timestamp and info about the ban? I could not find in the docs.

Hiawatha version: 8.5
Operating System: CentOS 6

All bans are logged in the system logfile. See the SystemLogfile setting.

My SystemLogfile has only 3 lines. Hiawatha is running for a few days and have blocked 9 ips. I am not running hiawatha with -d option.

Are the access rights correct?

I Think so.

You need to be sure. Check that de owner of those files is the same as the user Hiawatha is running as. Check that that use has write access to those files.
