When I am talking about Hiawatha to some Linux users, they are usually criticising it.
Main reasons is unknown community, suspicious author and fact that Hiawatha not in repositories for popular Linux distros. These peoples usually telling me about other servers, such as Apache, nginx and lighthttpd.
Anyway, Hiawatha is my favorite server, but here is any chance that it will become more popular and well-known? Can it appear in repositories?

For some peoples Hugo and Hiawatha looks suspicious. Just because Hiawatha does not appear to be popular. Well, maybe Wikipedia is right - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiawatha_%28web_server%29#Usage_statistics
I hope that Hiawatha would become more popular, but now some people just avoiding it (even when it is opensource ).

I am a suspicious author?? LOL! What can ever be suspicious about me? And Hiawatha is open source. I don't hide anything when it comes to my webserver.

And people don't use Hiawatha because it's not used by many? Right..... Following that kind of logic, nobody would use anything...

It can of course appear in repositories. But trying to get it in the repositories of the main distro's would take a lot of time, which I don't have. Why don't the people who would like to see it in some repository try to put it there themselves?

Thanks for reply. You are not suspicious, I trust you

I will find way to bring Hiawatha to repositories, it would help it become more popular.

Thanks, I appreciate your feedback. But trusting me or not is not the issue. It's about trusting Hiawatha or not. And since it's open source, make a decision about that isn't very hard.
