Is there an Ubuntu package for Hiawatha?

Sure, you can download the deb package or the the tarball from http://www.hiawatha-webserver.org/download

The deb package on the download page is a Debian package. It will probably work under Ubuntu (which is a Debian clone), but the best thing you can do is download the source, unzip it, and use './configure' and 'make deb' inside the source directory. This will create an OS optimized package for you.
