In Banshee 4.1 lmage won't resize to thumbnail. It does work in Banshee 4.0

For some reason, the photo_thumbnail_height setting in the Settings administration page (/admin/settings) got an EOL sign at the end. Reenter the key name (photo_thumbnail_height) and save the setting. This should fix it.

I can' t. The field is greyed out.

The only diff between Banshee 4.1 and Banshee 4.0 I could find is in your admin/settings controller.

Set DEBUG_MODE in settings/website.conf to 'yes' first.

I had to change debug mode to re-enter the key. Now it works.
