Polar SSL certificates

Hiawatha version: 9.7 Operating System: Ubuntu LTS 14

I hope not to ask an obsolete question. On ubuntu there exits libpolarssl-runtime which offers a set of polar ssl commands. There does not appear to be any documentation availble on the use, not on the polar-ssl website, not on this website ( still documents using openssl :-) )

Since i know some openssl i've managed to create some certificates, req etc using these runtime tools.

Just for the fun of trying it i wanted to use an EC cert for use as my http over SSL certificate. Hiawatha complains " Starting webserver: Error loading RSA private key (-0x2D00): PK - Invalid key tag or value " I'm not sure if i use this the right way, what i actually thought i was doing is generate an RSA cert with EC ciphers.

Is this a non-question or will Hiawatha soon support EC based certificates ?

Thank you,

J.L.

I've never tried it myself, but the way Hiawatha uses the PolarSSL library, EC based certificates should be supported. The best thing you can do is ask the PolarSSL developer about how this all works.
