I can't find a way to run Hiawatha with an elliptic private key (ecdsa, I think). I simply get an 'Error loading RSA private key from ...'. Can it be that Hiawatha can only handle RSA private keys at this time or am I being stupid? I think PolarSSL or embed-SSL or what they are called now should support this just fine, but I can't find anything about Hiawtha.

The way Hiawatha uses PolarSSL, it should work. I have no experience with that. You better ask at the PolarSSL forum how to format such keys.
