Hello,

I was curious maybe as idea would it be possible to add ldap support? kind of in a similar way you do basic authentication?

In Nginx it is not available either but someone created a module for it this one: https://github.com/kvspb/nginx-auth-ldap

Is something like that module possible for Hiawatha perhaps? Or is it already possible in some way currently?

I'm not a big fan of ldap and I really believe the http authentication should only be used for simple or temporary things. For serious authentication stuff, it should be done by the web application itself. If I every do something more with http authentication, the best option for me to go for is MySQL.
