Aliases and Symlinks to NTFS not working

I've got Hiawatha up and running, and like it a lot. I've got a few wrinkles to work out before the system will be operational.

I can access aliases and symlinks placed within the virtual host's main directory, but only if they point to a Linux filesystem. otherwise I get a Forbidden. This presents a problem, as I have a lot of data on NTFS drives that I want to maintain access for Windows machines on LAN. So I don't see how I can have it both ways, since Linux doesn't seem to deal with NTFS symlinks very well?

Thanks,
Paul

Hiawatha was designed for Linux / BSD, not for Windows. I made a Windows version available because it was very easy to do because with Cygwin [www.cygwin.com]. But that version is not intended as a production version. If you really want to use all Hiawatha features on a Windows machine, my advice is to install Cygwin, compile Hiawatha manually with Cygwin and also use it from within Cygwin.

It occurred to me this morning that the only problem would be accessing the ext4 files from the same machine running windows in a dual-boot, because on the LAN windows can see them via Samba share. So I don't think this needs to be a problem. I just have to convert the partitions.
