If ShowIndex = no, the directory listing is shown anyway in UserWebsites (/~username/)

Could it be that a .hiawatha with 'ShowIndex = yes' is present in that directory? Or perhaps in /home/<user> or even in /home?

You're right. I completely forgot that .hiawatha file...

I'm puzzled. I've just upgraded to 10.0 and now it seems the "ShowIndex = yes" in the .hiawatha file is ignored.

I just tested it. Hiawatha does not ignore the ShowIndex setting. I guess something else goes wrong.

I found in the changelog that you "replaced IgnoreDotHiawatha option with UseLocalConfig."

I had to add "UserLocalConfig = yes" to the VirtualHost. Now it works again...

Correction:

That should be "UseLocalConfig = yes"
There is a "r" after "Use" that should not be there...
