More RAM vs More CPU cores?

I'm moving a couple of Wordpress sites from their current LiteSpeed, Cpanel hosting environment to a VPS running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, Hiawatha, PHP, and MariaDB.
Given the choice between a single core with two GB of RAM, and four cores with one GB of RAM (For about the same cost):
Which environment is more advantageous for Hiawatha's performance, in terms of concurrent users and response time for each of them?

Oh... and both servers use SSD.

Hiawatha doesn't require that much. What to choose depends on your webapplications. If you have many, for for memory. If you have one that does a lot of calculations, go for CPU power.

Thanks! that's what prompted me to ask. It's nothing demanding I think. A business site that runs on Wordpress, a couple of graphics per article, a podcast hosted off-site, and links to YouTube videos.
Vendor one is offering a VPS with 1 GB RAM and 4 CPU cores
Vendor two is offering a VPS with 2 GB RAM and 1 CPU core
Both are about $10 USD monthly cost. But Vendor two offers an easier upgrade path (resize to a new plan).

Personally, I would go for the single core with 2GB RAM.
