Google PageSpeed Insightes complains my Hiawatha-mounted server for not compressing contents: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=km.on.lt I do not find GZip nor Content-Encoding configuration strings in the manual, despite „GZip Content-Encoding (read the manual for more information)“ in https://www.hiawatha-webserver.org/features and a broken link to Hiawatha manpages from Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_compression#cite_note-17.

Hello,

Hiawatha will not compress the output of a php script, but you can configure PHP itself to do it. If I'm not mistaken, you can do it via those parameters :

I was confused by correct values in /etc/php5/cgi/php.ini — but PHP-FPM is managed by another /etc/php5/fpm/php.ini. Both HTML and CSS files via PHP are now compressed too, thank you Nicolas for the help.
