can't upload large image files to Drupal

Hello
I have a weird problem. in drupal when i want to upload a large file nothing happens and the file won't upload. my error log is also completely empty. I've used the official Urlkit in hiawatha website. also the temp and public file folders have 777 permissions.

How large is this 'large file'? Have you set the MaxRequestSize setting correctly?

my php configuration allows uploading of files with 100 MB, but I cannot upload files larger than 100 Kb. I don't understand why and tried everything but no success

MaxRequestSize is not a PHP setting, but a Hiawatha setting.

SOLVED
I did not set it in my hiawatha. I was thinking it would be 2048 by default but it seems that it should be set explicitly
