Hi Hugo,

I know this has been requested already. But, just to bring the discussion back. Would it be possible to add the option on Hiawatha to look for multiple startfiles? After using hiawatha for a few months now, I really feel that this would make it a lot easier for folks running huge websites where there could be several different possibilities for startfiles and adding .hiawatha in each directory might be it a cumbersome task.

Example:

StartFile = index.php, index.html, index.pl ... 

Hiawatha version: 6.17.1
Operating System: CentOS 5.3

I understand why you want it, but I'm sorry, this can't be done in Hiawatha. It conflicts with a design priciple. Hiawatha uses FastCGI. A FastCGI server can be located on another machine than the webserver machine. In that case, Hiawatha can't check which of the start files is the right one (which one exists).
