Hello,

Can you implement a feature in order to make the server to be more reverse proxy friendly as Apache 2 + mod_rpaf is? By using this kind of setup, the applications won't know that they are running under a two layer architecture behind a proxy (reverse proxy + backend webserver). I know that Hiawatha doesn't try to be an Apache drop-in replacement, but this scenario is quite possible for various reasons: web acceleration, static content serving by the proxy - nginx for example, proxy load balancing, etc. The security features of Hiawatha plus the possibility to use load balanced FastCGI servers makes it a good candidate for the backend component.

mod_rpaf: http://stderr.net/apache/rpaf/

Hiawatha version: 6.18
Operating System: Ubuntu Hardy, Debian Lenny

I've implemented this feature. It needs some more testing, but it looks oke.
