Hi,
Using either packages or ports, Hiawatha fails to start with a message about /var/lib/hiawatha.
Shouldn't this be /usr/local/lib/hiawatha or /usr/local/var/lib/hiawatha? The /usr/local/lib is an existing directory.
Is there some place in the Hiawatha configuration files that I can change the workdir from /var/lib/hiawatha to use /usr/local/lib/hiawatha?
thanks,
Bill
Hiawatha version: 7.1

You probably want to play around with the --localstatedir=DIR parameter to the configure script.

Hi,
Yep, changing --localstatedir=DIR to /usr/local/lib and using the ports changes the workingdir.
Since I wanted to experiment/play with pkg_upgrade, I made a symlink to /usr/local/lib in /var. Installed with pkg_upgrade -rrRRv hiawatha and hiawatha is running.
I'd noticed that in the OS X 10.4.11 topic, the workdir is at /usr/local/var/lib/hiawatha, any chance of having workdir use /usr/local in the future.
Thanks,
Bill

If you have a ports patch for me, just let me know. Since I'm not a FreeBSD user, you are also welcome to send the patch directly to FreeBSD and I'll approve it.
