Then I was working with cgit...
Now I need to set env variables with toolkit again, but this time it's for hgweb.cgi
Say what you want, but this feature is needed....

Now I need to switch to different web server

A CGI script that needs an environment variable set based on the URL in order to work properly... that is seriously very weird. No offense, but maybe you should start looking for a script that is not so badly written.
