Hiawatha version: 7.4
Operating System: Debian 6.0
Just did a very basic netinstall of Debian with the object of running a web server from home.
Instead of including Apache, I thought I would try out Hiawatha, since it is the default webserver on Puppy Linux. Following the instructions on the website, I very easily compiled and installed Hiawatha. I did have a few errors trying to do simply ./configure and make, so I started over and followed the Debian instructions, which include installing some libraries and making a .deb package. That process was error free and Hiawatha was up and running as soon as dpkg finished installing it! I was able to instantly access the test page from a coffee shop away from home. Very excited about the ease and simplicity I've experienced so far. Now to dig into the rest.
Good Work!
