Hi, am new to linux, but managed to install this software (it is very good) following the installation instructions, if you were to just open up the httpd.conf file in ssh in wordpad change the settings for the connectionstotal, and save this file back to the server again, would this have changed the settings or just changed the text at the top of this file?

Hi Mark,
after you change to settings in httpd.conf, you have to restart the Hiawatha webserver in order to make the new settings active. httpd.conf is nothing more than a textfile which is being read by the webserver during startup.
Use "kill -15 <process id>" to stop the Hiawatha webserver (use the "ps" tool to find it's process id). Just run the hiawatha binary to start the webserver again.
