Hiawatha memory usage

Hiawatha version: 7.4
Operating System: Debian

Hi,

I am evaluating Hiawata version 7.4 for memory usage. I am configuring Hiawatha to run on SSL. When Hiawatha web server is initially brought up, it consumes around 4.5 MB.

However, after few requests over a periond of 1-2 hours the memory consumption of Hiawatha goes upto 8 to 10+ MB. I am concerned that memory usage may shoot up over a period of time and we have a constraint on the memory size. I have checked that there are no memory leaks in the test runs.

Can you provide pointers as to the reasons for the shooting up of memory consumption by the web server? Is it a known issue?

Is there a configuration change that can help in restricting the memory consumption of Hiawatha web server to within a limit, hence ensuring no space crunch on the system.

Regards,
Deepak

It could be the internal cache. By default, its maximum size is 10 MB.

Please note that there is a serious bug in 7.4. You are adviced to update to 7.5.
