Hello,
i have an Blog-Site with many pictures serve by hiawatha. One Request to index.html loads ~18 pictures and 2 x js and css.
I tested my Site with tools.pingdom.com an after 15 Requests no pictures are load. When I press F5 many times, 2 - 3 pictures are not load, every time another picture.
ConnectionsPerIP = 15
Can I hiawatha say, after load a picture the Connection can use to serve an another file? (Keep Alive) The accss.log-File have only HTTP-200 Requests.
When I configure ConnectionsPerIP = 25, then all works perfect.
Hiawatha version: 7.6
Operating System: Debian 5.0.8 Kernel 2.6.26-2-xen-amd64

Hiawatha does support KeepAlive connections, but it is up to the browser to send multiple requests via one connection. Check Hiawatha's system.log (probably located in /var/log/hiawatha) and look for messages that say anything about 'maximum amount of connections reached'.
It looks liek that tools.pingdom.com uses more than 15 simultaneous connections. If ConnectionsPerIP = 25 works, simply use that.
