A week ago, I received an e-mail from Henry Kupty, a student of computer engineering in Brazil. He offered me to implement Google's SPDY protocol for Hiawatha. Some time ago, I've taken a quick look at SPDY and seen that it could be an interesting feature for Hiawatha, but I haven't had the time to take a good look at it or to even implement it. So, I'm really excited that someone else offered help with this.

At this moment, nothing can be said about when it will be ready and no promises are yet being made that Henry's patch will actually be included in a future release of Hiawatha. But as soon as things are becoming more clear on these matters, I will let you all know.

Hugo,

It will be great if you implement this patch.

I never heard from Henry again. I'll take a look at SPDY myself some time. I've read something about (parts of) SPDY maybe becoming part of the HTTP 2.0 specs.
